Botswana is without doubt one of the finest safari destinations in Africa. Let Safari Club create an exclusive journey of a lifetime specifically tailor-made for you.

The wildlife you may see on one of our Botswana safaris includes all the big cats plus a healthy population of the highly endangered wild dog, plenty of hippo, huge crocodiles and the largest herds of elephant in Africa.

Most of Botswana is a genuine wilderness largely untouched by human intervention. Enlightened Goverment policies have ensured that Botswana has created a sustainable, high quality, low volume tourist industry employing many Botswana citizens and providing much needed education.

Our Botswana safaris can be very varied and most tineraries would include at least some of the following prime wildlife areas.

The Makgadikgadi Pans and Central Kalahari Game Reserve are huge and virtually devoid of tourists, home to the San Bushmen and with a suprising variety of wildlife. These parks provide some of the best game viewing in Botswana during the African summer months.

The spectacular Okavango Delta and the adjoining Moremi Wildlife Reserve has fantastic year round game viewing both on land and by water.

Chobe Game Reserve is a huge compelling wilderness full of wildlife with huge herds of elephant stretching from the dry interior North to the game rich floodplain of the Chobe River.

The Linyanti Wetlands and the Selinda Spillway are another area with permanent water and superb year round game viewing.

On the border with South Africa at the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashi Rivers is the area of Tuli and Mashatu Game Reserve, the largest private game reserve in Africa which also provides another outstanding safari experience.

Some of the most productive wildlife areas you can visit on our Botswana Safaris are located outside the national parks and lie in private reserves known as concessions which are leased out to safari companies which must manage them within strict guidelines to prevent overcrowding and must employ and train local people whilst paying for the privilege of using these safari areas.

Many Safari Club camps are small and exclusive within Botswana's private concession areas and can offer a range of activities not possible within the national parks such as night drives, guided walks and tracking more elusive game offroad. Safari Club's, tailor made Botswana safaris aim to give our clients the best value safaris in Botswana without any compromise on the quality of your safari experience.

Our luxury Botswana safari holidays can be undertaken at any time of year, the dry season runs from April to November with the cooler months from June to August, a safari holiday in Botswana's summer months when the game viewing is still excellent can be great value for money.

We recommend that you visit at least two safari camps in different areas of the country to get a true feel for what a Botswana safari is about.

All our safari camps and lodges are luxurious and most include all meals drinks and game viewing activities. Our safaris usually include night drives, bush walks with an experienced guide and mokoro trips in the Okavango region.

The Okavango, Linyanti and Chobe areas of Botswana combine very well with Victoria Falls in Zambia for a superb safari circuit.

Some safari areas in Botswana are seasonal and we strongly recommend that if you are thinking of taking a Botswana safari you have an informal chat with one of our specialist safari consultants who have lived and travelled extensively in the country and who will be able to help you plan a fantastic safari.
