Naibor Camp
Naibor Camp, is a luxury tented camp, a striking combination of contemporary style and comfort, in the heart of Kenya’s world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
The camp is hidden in a grove of riverine woodland on the banks of the Talek River and consists of sweeping pale canvas tents, king sized beds made from local fig-wood, wide sofas furnished with bolster cushions and wool rugs, and has 24 hour armed security - a luxurious base from which to explore the Mara.
Since Naibor Camp is in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, guests are able to enjoy fabulous wildlife viewing throughout the year. Naibor is also strategically placed for the wildebeest migration, being close to all the major wildebeest crossing sites over the Mara River.
All individual tents in main Naibor and Little Naibor are carefully secluded and overlook the Talek River. The dining tent and social fireplace area also overlook the Talek River and a resident pod of hippos. The Naibor Spa tent is also carefully secluded for the perfect ambience for enjoying a massage.
The Main Naibor Camp has a total of 7 tents. Each tent is a private unit complete with shady veranda, his & hers wash basins, en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and safari shower. The tents are all carefully positioned amongst the trees so that each can enjoy the surrounding woodland in complete privacy.
The evening camp-fire provides a welcome spot for pre-dinner drinks after a day of wildlife viewing. Meals are made from the finest fresh ingredients prepared by our experienced chefs. Dinner is usually enjoyed at the long banquet table, whilst breakfast and lunch may be under the shade of the surrounding trees whilst watching the resident pod of hippos and the Talek River. For those wanting to enjoy the African night alone Naibor can arrange private meals outside your tent, dinners under the stars are ideal for couples and honeymooners.
Little Naibor is located within the immediate vicinity of Naibor Camp, and is made up of two spacious suites which are uniquely designed. Each suite contains a double and a twin bedded room, with their own bathrooms, inter-joined by a communal lounge and veranda area. A dedicated team of staff caters to your every need. Each of these stunning suites have their own private fire places and dining areas set up strategically located overlooking the Talek River with complete privacy and spectacular views. Little Naibor can be booked and used as an exclusive private arrangement, or used in conjunction with the main Naibor Camp and its facilities. Little Naibor is one of the best camps in the Maasai Mara for multi generational family groups.
In our view this is one of the nicest camps in the Maasai Mara with an excellent location on the Talek River which will combine nicely with other high quality camps in other areas such as Saruni Samburu in Samburu Reserve and Kinondo Kwetu at the South Coast in a high quality Safari Circuit and beach holiday.
