Thank you - we had an amazing time! We have prviously done four safaris in South Africa, Botswana and South Luangwa in Zambia, and I would say that as an all-round experience this was the best.
Richard’s Camp is a small, owner managed, traditional tented camp in true African safari style with a few modern surprises. Each individually decorated tent has either twin or double beds with triple rooms available for families upon request. The solar system provides clean, silent power and 24-hour light to all the tents. All of the 7 large and spacious custom-designed tents feature an en-suite flush toilet and shower. As the weather almost always permits, meals are most often enjoyed outdoors. During those rare rainy or chilly evenings, dining moves indoors, adjacent to the beautiful, cosy sitting room with a roaring fire. Enjoy flopping on the sofa to read or just relax. At the end of the day, guests at Richards Camp can indulge in an open-air Victorian bath tucked away in the forest, surrounded by flickering candles and the sounds of the bush.
Richards Camp also operate a small private camp capable of accommodating up to ten people, which is perfect for groups of friends and family groups who would like total privacy in a simple exclusive private camp.
The Camp is located in the Ol Choro Conservancy and game drives are conducted both within the Conservancy and inside the National Reserve. Being inside the conservancy it is possible to enjoy guided bush walks, as well as night drives and tracking more elusive game off road.
Safari Club guests who stay at Richards Camp always give us great feedback on this charming little owner managed camp.
A superbly varied flying safari circuit in Kenya could combine Richards Camp with Elsas Kopje in Meru National Park or Loisaba Lodge in Laikipia and Tortilis in Amboseli and a few days on the beach at Manda Bay
