Hamiltons Tented Camp

Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park, Hamiltons Tented Camp reflects a safari adventure of the early twentieth century, where grace and style were the epitome of luxurious living. Hamiltons Tented Camp is one of South Africa's most unique camps with unrivalled design, service, ambience and personalised cuisine. All of which characterises an atmosphere of uncompromising elegance and a fine tradition of luxury in true 'Out of Africa' style.

The lodge has a swimming pool and offers butler service. Six magnificent tents with flowing mosquito nets, slipper baths and a superb view of the Ngwenyeni dam are linked by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees. The open tented lounge and dining room are perched on wooden decks while a secluded swimming pool and viewing deck offer ultimate privacy. All rooms are air conditioned and are linked by an intercom service. Hamiltons Tented Camp offers silver-service dining overlooking the river, where magnificent cuisine freshly prepared to your satisfaction, offers a menu as extensive as the African wilderness. Private dining is a romantic alternative, and bush picnics can also be arranged.

Hamiltons Tented Camp activities and attractions offer 2 game drives daily. In summer morning drives depart at 05:30am and evening drives depart at 17:30pm. In winter morning drives depart at 06am and evening drives depart at 4 pm. Hamilton’s Tented Camp morning game drives last about 3 hours. Evening game drives last about 4 hours with a stop for sundowners before viewing nocturnal animals.

Game viewing at Hamiltons Tented Camp is truly spectacular and the lodge is home to creatures great and small. Africa's Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo - roam the reserve as well as a diverse variety of antelope, birds and insects. Open game drives, guided bush walks, and bird watching are all offered at the lodge.
