Northern Tanzania Safari Holidays

Northern Tanzania contains the best known parks in Tanzania and is the home of the traditional overland safari with the principal National parks conveniently close together. Northern Tanzania provides a fabulous mixture of wildlife, spectacular volcanic scenery and fascinating tribal culture attracting visitors for around the world. Although the North  receives far more visitors than the less well known Southern Parks the area is still sufficiently large that it seldom feels crowded.

Tanzania's Northern Safari Circuit includes Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, The Ngorongoro Crater and its surrounding Conservation area and the world famous Serengeti National Reserve. This area also contains Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro and a number of other smaller parks. The area is also home to the Maasai people with their fascinating culture.

The well developed tourist infrastructure and close proximity of many of the game reserves makes this a perfect area to explore on a leisurely, privately guided 4x4 safari which can be great fun for family and groups of friends. Group Safaris and Flying safaris are also possible.

Black Rhino NgorongorTanzania Coast - Fishing

The coast of Tanzania and the tropical Islands of Zanzibar, Pemba and Mafia boast some superb beaches as well as world class scuba diving and big game fishing and combine easily with a Safari on Tanzania's Northern circuit to give the perfect "Bush and Beach" holiday.

The Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit can be vistited in most months although the wet season from late March to May is better avoided.

The Annual Wildebeest migration can be viewed in the Southern Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation area from January to April, the migration moves into the central and Western areas between May and July and is located on the northern border of the Serengeti and in Kenya's Maasai Mara from late July to Early November.
