LEMALA MARA CAMP

Lemala Mara is a high specification seasonal camp with just nine extremely well appointed, large, comfortable tents, located  in the game rich Northern Serengeti, within touching distance of the Mara River. Here, in this immense remote wilderness, almost double the size of the Maasai Mara, guests can enjoy fabulous landscapes and terrific game viewing with practically no crowds.

Resident wildlife numbers around Lemala Mara Camp are exceptionally high, with prides of lion up to 30 strong. The area turns into a wildlife paradise when the herds start to move through from June through July and August the wildebeest continue moving through the area, crossing and re-crossing the Mara River before heading north into the Maasai Mara. Several large herds remain behind. Migration and predator action lasts up to the end of October, assuring this area’s reputation as one of the finest wildlife areas in Africa.

Two of the major crossing points on the river are nearby and occasionally guests may observe the exciting crossings from the comfort of the camp. The spectacular Lamai triangle and Wogakuria kopjes are also very easily accessible.

Lemala Mara camp can function as a stand alone destination or as part of a high quality safari circuit tailored for the best wildlife viewing, in combination with some of Lemala's other luxury seasonal camps at Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and  Lemala Ewanjan in the Central Serengeti.

Activities include offroad day time game drives within the National Park and guided bush walks
