MBUZI MAWE TENTED CAMP

Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp lies in the centre of the Serengeti within easy reach of the prime wildlife areas of Lobo, the Western Corridor of the Grumeti River and the Seronera Valley. This central location makes mbuzi Mawe a good option throughout the year.

Mbuzi Mawe is located on one of the main annual migration corridors. The camp enjoys a ringside seat for one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth when the migration passes through this area in May and June and again in November and December.

This area of the central Serengeti has excellent sigtings of elephant, cheetah, leopard, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, hippo and crocodiles

Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp has fifteen rooms and a stunning location in a glade guarded by ancient granite towers.

Mbuzi is often included in our tailor made private 4x4 safaris as its location and reasonable price make it a good place to stay at any time of year. Mbuzi Mawe works well in a flexible seasonal safari circuit with other tented camps in the Serengeti such as Serengeti Mara Camp and Lake Masek Tented Camp  in the Northern and Southern Serengeti  and Lemala Ngorongoro at the Ngorongoro crater and Mawe Ninga in Tarangire National Park.
