SASAKWA LODGE

Sasakwa Lodge is situated on the top of a hill, with awe-inspiring views over the Serengeti plains. The seven room lodge is in a private concession area adjacent to the Western border of the Serengeti National Park.

Sasakwa is built in the grand style of a 1920’s English manor home and comprises seven suites, ranging in size from one to four bedrooms some of which have basic wheelchair access. Each Suite is air-conditioned and features a bedroom, lounge with fireplace, veranda with your own spotting scope, en suite bathroom with bath and shower, dressing area, guest bathroom, heated infinity plunge pool, direct dial telephone facilities and wireless internet access.

The lodge areas offer a dining room, lounge and bar, garden room, television room with satellite television, DVD player and collection, reading library with internet facilities, billiards room, wine cellar, and Colonial Trading Post, all opening onto wide verandas and sprawling lawns. The lodge also features two tennis courts (clay and grass), a gymnasium, spa with steam room, and a heated infinity swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

The Equestrian Centre located a short distance from Sasakwa is home to sixteen magnificent horses. The Centre includes an arena, fenced paddock, and a walled 2.7 kilometre riding track, which can also be used for walking and jogging. More experienced riders can enjoy rides out on the Serengeti plains. All equestrian activities are led by qualified professional guides.

Rates include three meals per day served in a variety of locations, game drive snacks, high tea, bush snacks and canapes, laundry and valet services. All drinks, fine wines, sparkling wines and selected champagnes and cognacs, cigars and cigarettes. Activities including: game drives in open vehicles, walks, night drives, horseback out rides on the plains, mountain biking and archery all of which are facilitated with highly experienced guides. Also included are tennis, billiards, badminton, lawn croquet, swimming pools and use of the Spa excluding treatments.
