Damaraland Camp

Damaraland Camp is situated in the Huab River Valley, one of the most pristine wilderness areas in Namibia, 90km from Torra Bay in the Torra Conservancy, it is considered to be one of the Namibia's best camps, with sensational views of the surrounding desert plains, ancient valleys and soaring peaks of the Brandberg Mountains.
Accommodation at Damaraland Camp consists of 10, thatched units each raised on individual wooden decking and extending out to form a large viewing deck with magnificent vistas of the surrounding area. All Damaraland Camp tents come with en-suite facilities, a walk-in dressing area and built-in fan.
The spacious, thatched living area features a restaurant and bar, complete with fireplace. Evening meals at Damaraland Camp are often prepared over an
open fire and served out in the open in an area near to the camp. Stargazing round the outdoor 'boma' or relaxing in front of the open fire is a great way to end the day.
The activities at Damaraland Camp generally revolve around exploring the Haub River system with superb guided nature walks and game drives including searching for the desert-adapted elephant as well as mountain biking
Here you can spot gemsbok, greater kudu, springbok, and occasionally lion, cheetah, elephants and black rhino although big game viewing is seasonal with the natural cycle of rainfall dictating the movement of wildlife along the Huab River. It's also possible to do a day excursion to visit Africa's best known rock engravings, including the famous Twyfelfontein etchings.
