Djuma Vuyatela
Djuma Game Reserve is located in the game-rich Sabi Sands Game Reserve, alongside the Kruger National Park.Guests can expect to see the Big Five and more than 300 bird species at Djuma, which takes its name from the Shangaan word meaning "roar of the lion".
There are three small camps that ensure personalised attention for all guests. Vuyatela, meaning, "come and visit again", was handcrafted by the local Shangaan people, thus creating jobs.
Each of the 8 individually built, air-conditioned chalets or kayas (Shangaan word for house) has a bedroom, dressing room and bathroom with outdoor shower and detached sitting room. The bedrooms look out onto a private deck with plunge pool. The main lodge includes a large double deck, outdoor dining, wine cellar, bar overlooking the watering hole, indigenous aquarium, suspended bird-watching tower, internet library, gym and relaxation room.
Activities include game drives and guided walks in the bush. Guests may accompany their Shangaan guide to his nearby village, where they will have the opportunity to interact with his family and friends in an authentic African environment.
