Camp Jabulani

Camp Jabulani consists of 6 ultra luxurious suites with en-suite bathrooms (with a Victorian bath), double vanity, private deck and plunge pool, lounge with fireplace, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Additional facilities include a gym, masseuse service and laundry service.

The 6 elegantly furnished canvas tents at Jabulani's, each sleeping 2 guests, are set on stilts in the upper reaches of tall trees, overlooking a seasonal river; are interconnected to one another by wooden walkways high above the sandy river bed. Each tent is equipped with an en-suite bathroom, shower, flush toilet and hot water at Kapama's luxury accommodation.

A thatched bar, dining room and campfire area in the indigenous garden, contribute to the intimate ambience of the camp. At night, lanterns, rather than electric lights, glow under the canopy of treetops giving the effect of romantic Kapama luxury accommodation. These 12 fully trained African elephants arrived at Kapama in early 2002, after being relocated from Zimbabwe, where their safety was in jeopardy.

You will mount up onto your comfortable canvas-covered saddle, behind an experienced Elephant handler. From this vantage point, you will be able to view game from close proximity as the Elephant move silently, in a single file through the bush.
