SERENGETI MARA CAMP
This six tented luxury camp is located the Lamai Wedge area of the Serengeti bordering Kenya's Maasai Mara, there are only two camps in this remote wildlife rich region of the Serengeti and here you have the spectacular game viewing of the Maasai Mara without the crowds.
Actvities here include game drives, guided walks and it is also possible to drive offroad.
The Northern Serengeti is renowned for its shear size, primeval landscapes and large populations of plains game that seasonally migrate to follow the nutritious pastures. It has become famous for the migration of 1.2 million wildebeest and the viewing of dramatic river crossings, which occur close to the camp. The sheer density of wildlife makes it also a predator haven with frequent sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah, predator interaction is common.
Resident game is prolific even when the migration is not present making the Lamai Wedge an all year round destination, offering a similar experience to the Maasai Mara. The stark beauty of the western escarpment and the open short grass plains provide a great backdrop to wildlife viewing.
This remote camp can be accessed from Arusha by direct flights and Serengeti Mara Camp is an excellent stand alone destination or equally the start or end point for an overland 4x4 safari visiting Tarangire National park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Central and Southern areas of the Serengeti.
