What can we say? It was without doubt the best holiday either of us have ever had, and we have been on some good ones in the past. We would like to thank Paul for all his hard work, great patience and his very good advice.

Lake Manze Camp

Situated on the banks of Lake Manze, Lake Manze Camp is a tented safari camp that rests under a beautiful shady canopy of huge Doum Palms and Terminalia trees. The twelve tents are spacious and well spread out with good views out over the lake in front. Each tent has an en suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower and is furnished with twin or double beds with a comfortable veranda to watch the animals passing by.
The main lounge/dining area is a large, T-shaped open-sided thatch banda. The long lounge points out towards the lake and is furnished with simple, locally made, cushioned wicker furniture with colourful throws. This is a great place to sit and watch the game pass by.
Situated on an elephant walkway means that game is always in camp and the Lake Manze area is regarded as one of the richest for game in the entire Selous, both in the dry and wet season. Manze offers all the activities that the Selous can offer…walking safari, boating, game drives and fly camping.
Lake Manze Camp is a great option for those wanting a slightly more rustic and 'wild' camping experience, yet with all the basic comforts and good food provided. Lake Manze offers a good value safari option in Selous without the need to compromise on location.
Lake Manze will complement its excellent sister camps in Ruaha National Park in a two centre safari with either Mdonya Old River Camp or the more upmarket Kwihala Camp possibly combined with a few days on the beach on the exotic island of Zanzibar or neighbouring Mafia or Pemba Islands.
