Stanley Safari Lodge is set on a hill bordering the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and overlooking unspoilt bush, Stanley Safari Lodge is three Kilometres from the Victoria Falls.
The views are splendid: the spray of the Falls in the distance, the mighty Zambezi river and on top of that yet another beautiful African sunset. From either the main garden, the infinity pool or from the privacy of your room, there are splendid views.
The open-sided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind and has a truly African feel.You can enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, a 3 course dinner in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa.
The atmosphere at Stanley Safari Lodge is tranquil and intimate, and with only 10 private cottages or suites Stanley's are able to provide an excellent level of entirely personalised service.
Each cottage is individually designed and with an eye for detail that will make sure you will thoroughly enjoy your African experience. But what makes Stanley Safari Lodge really special is the open design of many of our rooms: the optimal way to experience the real Africa as Stanley must have done centuries ago.
From each room you are able to see the spray of the Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River and the African sunset.
Four of the rooms are suites, each having a private plunge pool with deck or terrace, a lounge area, a bedroom and a bathroom with bath and separate shower. The Honeymoon Suite and Family Suite are open suites, which enables you to absorb the sights and sounds of the African bush fully. The Livingstone Suite and Stanley Suite are closed suites with a colonial interior that evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone.
The six cottages are all in Safari style built with natural materials, one of the cottages is a closed unit the rest are open. All these cottages have a bath and shower with all the luxuries you might expect from a top class, small lodge.
The range of activities available at the Falls and from the lodge is huge and includes various types of flight over the river and waterfall, guided tours of Victoria Falls, river cruises and canoe trips on the Zambezi, white water rafting, elephant back safaris, walking with lions, steam train dining, cultural visits and many others.
In our opinion Stanley Safari Lodge is an excellent, high quality safari lodge in a beautiful location which consistently receives excellent reviews from returning clients.
The location although not on the Zambezi River is very convenient for both the Falls themselves and the many exciting activities available in the area.
Stanley Safari Lodge is an excellent first or last stop on a safari in Zambia or Botswana with excellent access by air from Johannesburg or Lusaka.
