Your safari starts in Arusha with a short flight to the Serengeti National Park. You have the option here of a classic seasonal tented camp or a premium luxury permanent camp.

The rich Benguela current creates a rich marine environment home to whale’s, seals and dolphins. The surrounding salt flats are home to many birds including Flamingos and Pelicans.

Continuing your journey northwards into Damaraland, you will explore a huge wilderness and incredibly photogenic region, home to unusual desert adapted wildlife, including the last free ranging black rhino on earth and the fascinating Herero and nomadic Himba people.

Leave the car for a few days and fly into the remote Northern Damaraland and spend some time exploring this harsh but beautiful environment that is known by the Bushmen as “the land God made in anger”, with thousands of miles of sandy coastal desert dotted with shipwrecks. Your stay here includes a full day “fly in” excursion to the Skeleton Coast National Park.

Your journey continues by road into Etosha National Park, Namibia’s’ premier reserve for some great wildlife viewing, you will be staying both inside the park and in a private concession adjacent to the park where a wider range of activities are possible.

The final leg of your journey takes you to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat foundation and one of the best places to see big cats up close and personal.

Shaba has surprisingly good game particularly elephant and lion and wonderful birdlife, drawn by small permanent springs in the south.
