The next leg of your tour is a self drive safari through the enormous Etosha National Park, Namibia’s’ premier reserve for some great wildlife viewing.  Due to the lack of water within the reserve the pumped waterholes within the park are a magnet for wildlife and guests who choose to join the predators and spend a few hours sitting by a waterhole are often rewarded with great sightings

The final leg of your journey takes you to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat foundation and one of the best places to see big cats up close and personal.

Your holiday is a mixture of flying self drive and rail travel designed to showcase the best of South Africa in a month long exploration. Your itinerary can be flexible, there is no rush, and time is allowed to truly appreciate each of the main attractions on the tour.

You will take a scenic drive to the coastal city of Durban where you will have time to explore the city and its beaches before returning your car and catching a flight to Port Elizabeth for the start of your Garden Route self drive tour.

Your self drive trip through the Garden Route will visit some attractive small towns with plenty of time to enjoy the spectacular coastal and mountain scenery for which the Garden Route is reknowned.

You will continue your scenic drive along the Southern coast of Africa heading for Hermanus, the Whale watching capital of South Africa. In season a boat trip is included to see the Southern Right Whales that return to the area each year to calve.

Another spectacular drive to Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands. This is another scenically beautiful area which styles itself as the foodie capital of South Africa. A chance to enjoy the local produce and maybe visit a few of the local vineyards.

You finish your self-drive adventure in the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, a mecca for tourists from around the world with so much to see and do.

Your holiday now switches to rail, taking the classic rail journey from Cape Town to Pretoria on the luxury Rovos Rail train, your rail journey includes sightseeing trips and fully inclusive accommodation in a delux suite.

On arrival in Pretoria you will spend the night in a hotel before flying up to the Kruger National Park and the Timbavati Reserve where a three night safari will be the final and perhaps most exciting highlight of your adventure.

A private safari visiting Kenya’s finest game reserves and finishing with a few nights at the beach. You will be travelling by both air and road to maximise the game viewing opportunities on this wonderful adventure.

The first part of your safari is by air and the adventure begins with a flight to Samburu Game Reserve in the North of Kenya before continuing on to the Lewa Downs Conservancy in the Lakipia Plateau. A further flight takes you south to the world famous Maasai Mara Reserve, home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth as more than one million wildebeest cross the Mara river from Tanzania running the gauntlett of some of the largest crocodiles in Africa in search of fresh grazing.

Southern Heaven is a wonderful luxury safari and beach holiday visiting the world famous Kruger National Park and an up and coming but still pristine beach resort in the Vilanculos area of Mozambique.

Your holiday begins in the Kruger National Park, one of the largest and most diverse national parks in Africa.

Your luxury game lodge is located within its own private concession inside the National Park providing a level of exclusivity not usually found in the Kruger Park. Being in a private concession area there is the opportunity to enjoy guided walks, night drives and following tracks offroad in search of more elusive animals.

The concession is in the south of the park in one of the most productive areas for game viewing  with sightings of the big five being reassuringly common and the bonus of sighting some rarer species such as wild dog a possibility. Your game drives will take place both inside the private concession and also inside the public areas of the park.

After your safari you will fly to Vilanculos in Mozambique from where you will have a short drive to your hotel on the mainland. 

Exotic, sun-baked beaches stretch on forever, the pristine landscape a superb horse-riding destination – “swimming” the horses is a memorable experience for riders of all levels. Turquoise oceans mirror heated azure skies and flow over a rugged shoreline. A gentle, eco-canoe trail through crystal waters and water lilies invites an appreciation of the aquatic animals and bird life which animate the region. Inland leads through coconut plantations and typical rural fishing villages, where signs of development are starting to make themselves visible.

The waters around the Bazaruto Archipelago World Heritage Site and National Park are an ecological paradise. The scuba diving rivals some of the best in the world. With sites at a depth of 12 to 30 m and visibility up to 40 m you will find reefs teeming with life, including dolphin, hump back whales, whale sharks, sharks, manta and spotted eagle rays, game fish, green turtles and giant lobster. The endangered dugong,  a close relation of the Manatee, of which only a very small number still exist, swim in the shallow crystal clear waters that are also home to starfish, soft and hard corals, anemones, seahorses and an array of beautiful tropical fish.

The Bazaruto area is also a top destination for big game fishing which is practised on a “catch and Release” basis

This safari is a perfect combination of outstanding game viewing and idyllic beach holiday visiting South Africa popularly known as the rainbow nation and Mozambique a large but relatively new and off the beaten track, tourist destination.

Your holiday starts in the Sabi Sand Private Reserve adjacent to the unfenced Kruger National Park. Sabi Sand is a real “Big Five” wildlife hotspot famous for its superb predator sightings and arguably the best place in Africa for leopard sightings. This safari is a classic northern circuit traveling overland from Arusha visiting the Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, the Ngorongoro Crater and finishing in the Serengeti National Reserve. This is a set departure safari which is suitable for 2 to 6 guests and includes all accommodation, meals, park fees and transport and returns to Arusha by air.
