The Wonders of Kenya

This spectacular safari will explore some beautiful areas of Kenya where outstanding wildlife viewing combines with fascinating culture and stunning scenery. You will experience Kenya at its’ best and most diverse, visiting some areas of Kenya that are well off the traditional safari circuit.

Our first destination is Meru National Park. Located on the edge of the Northern Frontier District, this park is one of Kenya’s hidden jewels with excellent wildlife, beautiful scenery and very few other visitors.

A scenic 4×4 road transfer then takes us to Shaba National Reserve. Shaba lies in an area of harsh, dry terrain that’s part of the same ecosystem as Samburu and Buffalo Springs. Shaba however is only accessible by air or four wheel drive and as such is almost free of tourist traffic.

Shaba has surprisingly good game particularly elephant and lion and wonderful birdlife, drawn by small permanent springs in the south.

This safari visits stunning areas of Kenya, some of which are off the beaten track, and locations few tourists see and where the local Maasai, Samburu and other local people maintain a lifestyle little changed over the centuries.

The location, game viewing and extremely high quality of guiding make this “all inclusive” safari an excellent choice as a stand-alone holiday or as part of a longer holiday including a stay on the Kenya coast or nearby Zanzibar.
