When we first visited Zambia in 1975 we found a large, very safe and friendly country and some of the finest game reserves in Africa. The Zambian reserves were managed by a small number of highly motivated wildlife professionals and were teeming with big game of all kinds as well as home to some spectacular birdlife. Zambia is still relatively undiscovered as a safari destination and sees a relatively low number of visitors. Unusually all of Zambia’s main reserves allow walking in the company of an armed Zambia Wildlife authority scout and this will appeal to many visitors.
