South Luangwa is very scenic, much of it set against a backdrop of the river itself. The beautiful river acts as a magnet for game and the density and variety to be found is impressive. Over time, the river’s course has carved a multitude of channels that in winter, form lagoons and oxbow lakes, which are the focus of attention for the fascinating mammals and birdlife of South Luangwa.
You may then extend your safari to visit the Lower Zambezi National Park another of Zambia’s stunning wilderness areas which lies on the Northern bank of the mighty Zambezi River opposite Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools and is a real adventure playground with the addition of water based activities to the traditional drives and guided walks.
From £4864 pp sharing on a Lusaka to Lusaka basis
Lower Zambezi extension: £1706 pp
Special Note: Moderate levels of fitness required.
