This safari starts in Maun and finishes in Livingstone with the option of a few nights at Victoria Falls. Your classic journey through this region visits Nxai Pan National Park, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Okavango Delta and the Linyanti Wetlands. Transfers within Botswana are by scenic light aircraft flight.

Most people have a misguided view of Botswana’s “Secret Season” The rainfall in these areas is typically in the form of quick thunderstorms, which usually occur in the late afternoon and last about an hour or so. The other misconception is that game or wildlife viewing is poor at this time and difficult to see – all these camps and lodges are situated within prime game viewing locations and our expert rangers and trackers go to great lengths to maximise sightings.

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Nxai Pan have some of the best “Secret Season” game viewing in Botswana with large herds of grazers drawn to the area by the fresh grasses and a full range of predators making the most of this time of plenty.

Victoria Falls located on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, is known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya meaning the ‘smoke that thunders’ and is the world’s largest curtain of falling water. The magnificence of the falls themselves, the wild and beautiful Zambezi River and the huge range of unusual and exciting activities available make this a great stand-alone destination as well as an essential add on to a safari in Zambia or Northern Botswana.
