We had a fantastic holiday, it was everything we wanted and it all went so smoothly. I highly recommend this trip to anyone thinking about a safari and beach holiday with you. Needles lodge is fabulous. Upon our arrival, there were about 6 zebra, 2 babies and a smattering of Warthogs around the decking area. Zebra, kudu, warthogs, and wildebeest regularly wandered around the lodge. Needles had mountain bikes for hire which gave us a wonderful opportunity to cycle around Marloth Park. We cannot give our driver and guide, Dillon enough praise. We saw the big 5 on our first day, Dillon is so keen and enthusiastic. We saw so much, a beautiful pride of lions calmly walking through the river and a second lot of cheetah close up, black and white Rhino too, the list is endless! I can’t recommend Blue footprints enough. It would be the perfect location for honeymooners. There are five little lodges set up in the sand Dunes, all very private with large double beds looking out onto your balcony and beyond your balcony an un-interrupted view to the Indian Ocean. We had the fortune of watching hump back whales breaching from the comfort of our bed. There are very good scuba centres nearby, we dived with Barra Lodge Dive centre and they were brilliant. Liz and Lisa who run the place are both really helpful.
The holiday was AMAZING!!! I will definitely drop you an email with more details but just as quick reply…I definitely had a holiday of a lifetime, loved every second, AMAZING organisation skills from you and Paul with only 2 weeks notice.
The holiday you arranged for me was fantastic from start to finish. Everyone I met from your safari partners were amazing. So friendly, I felt completely comfortable with all the drivers they gave lots of information of what to expect about safaris, gave me mini guided tours of the places we would drive through. All the pick ups happened like clockwork, which for someone like me travelling on their own in a completely foreign country made me feel completely at ease.
Collyns is an amazing guide. The drives out were amazing. It rained on our first afternoon drive and so Collyns arranged for a full day out the next day instead ... Read More
Many thanks for organising this. We both loved Kenya and the safari camps and hotel we visited.
Ole Sereni hotel was very good. Kicheche Laikipia was fantastic. Camp, manager, guide and staff were wonderful. Sightings were good, although they kept saying we were lucky…. We also did the trips to the chimps (early evening viewing when they did final feed and brought them in for the night). Just the two of us and well worth it. We also did the rhino sanctuary – hand feeding the last Northern White male, hand feeding a black rhino, etc. Again, very good.
Kicheche Mara camp was excellent too. The camp, managers, guide and staff were all fantastic. Viewing was excellent here too, and the fact the guides have been donated cameras and have taken an interest in photography (as most guests have this interest) means they are looking for good photos, not just sightings. We ... Read More
We constructed our Ugandan tour starting from a quite basic template with the assistance of Paul and Ellie of Safari Club. We were able to tailor it to perfectly meet our requirements. The itinerary we finished with was superb on paper, and I’m glad to say superb ‘in execution’ as well!
We had a fantastic trip with absolutely no glitches, and felt we really experienced Uganda in the best possible way, through the plans we had put in place with the expert and personalised assistance of the Safari Club. They come strongly recommended by me – I hope to use them again in the near future, and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to friends and family.
Read MoreFirst of all, the arrangements were excellent. In all cases, the meeters-and-greeters were a polite and well-spoken young men, as were our drivers, who all drove with great care. The overnight stays in the Latitude 15° hotel were very comfortable, and once again, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We think Zambians are lovely people.
Our activities on the actual safari were varied – we mostly drove, but we also walked and had a river excursion. We were lucky in that although it is the rainy season in Zambia, with only one evening drive completely rained off (but the skies beforehand were spectacular!). The trusty ponchos in the landrover only came out once. It was truly a Rivers and Rainbows experience! We saw lions and a lone leopard, but lots and lots of other game, including hyenas, and the bird-life was wonderful.
Our guide, John and the scout, Viato, were ... Read More
My gorilla trekking trip to Uganda was great – arrangements all worked well (except baggage which was Emirates not you clearly!) and accommodation was spot on in each place. Jude was a great guide, which is clearly harder with a solo traveller and lots of driving. He looked after me well without being there all the time, which was spot on. Your call on doing the chimp habituation day was spot on – absolutely brilliant whilst hard work and really worth it vs the 1 hour trips.
Felt a bit odd to begin with being only person staying in most of the lodges, but that was fine just felt unusual. Trip was hard work and I’m glad it was just me as I think rest of family would have definitely wanted more time/stops – but for me, squeezing it into 1 week, it worked.
So, no complaints at all and I’ll be ... Read More
The trip was amazing and it ran like clockwork. No problems with any of the pick up and drop offs in Nairobi, all on time and the guys made it all so trouble free and easy, a big thank you to them.
Thank you for persuading us to have an extra night at Sosian, it was well worth it. Everyone was so helpful and keen to ensure that our stay was exactly what we wanted. The ranch is a wonderful place to stay, the room and food were superb. The game drives with Simon and Ambrose (and not forgetting Patrick) were great and we saw what we had hoped and that was wild dogs and also amazing birds. It is much quieter than the Mara in terms of the number of vehicles, there were only 2 or maybe 3 at the time of our visit. Wonderful views of the giraffes and ... Read More
Great holiday Guide (Pascal) was friendly and very knowledgeable, but kept a low profile. A real asset to our holiday. He also tracked down some animals off the beaten tracks (where we were the only truck around). We had a very memorable drama of cheetah with cubs finding a lost gazelle play out in front of us (a bit sad, a bit voyeuristic, but …). Tanzanian people were really chilled and very friendly.
Accommodation, better than expected. Serena are fun (enduring image of my son doing the ‘stiff white boy’ bit when asked to join in the traditional dance!). Olduvai camp brilliant and unique, but middle daughter found it a little too authentic!! Bashay Rift a great place to end up (very relaxing).
Overall; walking with Maasi and coming across giraffes in the morning was priceless. I never got used to being VERY close to lions, even if Pascal assured us they ... Read More
We had an absolutely amazing time – thanks for all your help.
Two very different camps. Tanda Tula was a lot more informal and was our favourite. Lukimbi was more luxurious. Both made a real effort and made our special occasions even more special by going the extra mile.
The game drives and walks were brilliant and we got to see some amazing sites. Definitely a holiday experience to remember. Thanks

Serondella Lodge in Thorneybush Park. Wow!!! Absolutely brilliant. It was a perfect choice for us. It was small enough to maintain that personal service and our hosts, guides and trackers could not have been more accommodating. We saw 4 out of the ‘big 5’ after our first drive. We got some awesome photographs and memories from the lodge.
The hotel in CapeTown. Wow!!! What a find!! We were treated very well there, and again this exceeded our expectations. We were totally blown away with the hotel, and the area. The drive over Chapmans peak is a must, with a stop at every picnic area to take photos. It took us ages to drive round the first time. All in all, a fabulous holiday. I think it was the most memorable holiday we have ever had. ... Read More
As usual Paul, we had a brilliant time. The Chelli and Peacock guys are just perfect. They really make you feel welcome and at ease.
The House of Wayne was, again, excellent. And, of course, Lewa was just its usual, stunning self! We had a magnificent time there…
All in all, an excellent holiday! I am sure I will be booking another trip very soon. Thanks again,

Organisation – especially the travel arrangements (which were complex) went without a hitch. I was pleased to be staying at water berry in Zambia.
Botswana was fantastic and doing it in the order I did it you recommended was the best way to do it. I saw loads in Chobe and then in the delta to be able to follow the animals off-road was a great experience. It was a good combination and the refurbishment that they have recently done at sandibe was incredible – the standard of accommodation, views from the rooms and individual plunge pools was a nice luxury to end the holiday (in hindsight I would have booked an additional day there). Guides were all first class and service at all lodges fantastic. Staff went out of their way to ensure that guests had a good time.
I would definitely recommend this trip – better ... Read More
We had the most wonderful trip. On our transfer alone we sighted more than 20 “cats” going to Klein’s from Lobo airstrip, perfect!
Lake Manyara Park in Tanzania is not to be missed. Offers varied landscapes: forest with beautiful baobabs, cliffs, lake and grasslands, marshes, “all in one” type of park. We saw all animals except for the lions (only 9 left), including hundreds of flamingos, and all herds had young.
We loved Klein’s Camp, it felt so away from “civilization”, at the foot of the hills, overlooking this beautiful valley of the concession. The rangers manage their drives in order never to meet another of the lodge’s jeep. Feels like the whole concession is just for us! Night drives amazing. We must have been lucky for we sighted more than 70 lions, cheetahs, one leopard, one serval, in 3 days! Otherwise buffalos, elands, topis, giraffes, zebras, elephants, wildebeests, etc. If the ... We had a fantastic trip. The safari was superb and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ol Seki was just wonderful and we cannot fault it in any way. We went on early morning game drives, late afternoon ones, a night drive, two walking safaris and a whole day to the Maasai Mara, fabulous! Our trip to Malindi was lovely, the staff made a fuss of us on arrival for our 25th wedding anniversary.
We took 2,500 photos! The wildlife was so good to capture, making it so easy to press that button!
All in all, a super trip. Thanks so much for all your help Paul.
Read MoreWe had a wonderful holiday, the wildlife experience was exceptional – we could see elephant, monkeys, impala and buffalo from the sitting area in front of our tent. At night, buffalo walked right past our tent, 15 feet away, and on another night there was a lion 20 feet behind our tent. We felt completely safe, with the staff always accompanying us to and from our tent after dark. The camp is temporary for a very good reason – it can follow the herds.
This experience is not to be missed! Thanks for organizing our fine holiday! Best regards
Read MoreFirstly thank you to Safari Club for arranging an excellent family holiday to Kenya. Additional thanks for adding the flight from Ukunde to Mombasa, which was reassuring.
We found BA, Safari Link & Mombasa Air to all be perfect in our opinion, everything ran on time. It was also a fascinating experience to see some of the reserves from the air.
Ole Sereni Hotel – Fine with excellent security and the transfers where all prompt by your ground handlers.
Ol Pejeta Bush Camp – Loved it! Alex Hunter is a good host. The on-foot safari & night game drives gave it an added dimension. Saw all the game you would expect & liked the conservation efforts that they are making.
Royal Mara – The family were blown away by the quality of the lodges & the service made us feel like royalty. I was over the moon to see the Great Migration & see ... Read More

We had a truly memorable holiday. Mfuwe Lodge was of a high standard with excellent service, the guiding was exceptional. Chindeni was amazing, all aspects were without fault, and again the guiding needs a special mention. Tongole was also an exceptional Lodge, it was a shame that we were the only guests as this is a high quality lodge with very dedicated staff and Emmanuel the guide was particularly knowledgeable. Mumbo Island is an amazing place to experience, very beautiful, the ideal location to relax after an active safari. A special mention for your representatives who were always there to meet us, and helped us through all the border controls, providing a quality vehicle, pleasant drivers and refreshments.
Thank you for organising what was a wonderful holiday. With kind regards,
Read MoreWe are just home and I have to say that the safari was fantastic and beyond our expectations. All travel connections went without a hitch and the accommodation and food was superb, with pretty full on game drives.
Waterbury Lodge at the end was a great way to relax, although with so much to do in and around Livingstone it was nonetheless active.
Thank you so much for all your help and assistance in arranging what is a pretty memorable experience. Regards
Read MoreWhat an absolutely wonderful trip, Joan & I just wanted thank you Paul & Ellie for putting it together! Everything ran like clockwork. The accommodation was marvellous, Klein’s Camp would scrape in as our favourite but only just. ALL our guides were simply brilliant. They worked so hard to get us to see creatures on our wish list. To list all the sightings here would take forever but the highlights among the highlights were: The migration of Wildebeest in blind panic with one close shave with a crocodile (happy outcome); Leopard close up and in the perfect spot to capture images; Cheetah x2 lazing in the late afternoon sunshine. Again perfect for images; Black Rhino x3 with one of them a juvenile; Lions feasting on their kill, a Buffalo. I can’t go on!! We saw the “Big Five” but that’s a false man-made target in our view. Morokuru was excellent in every way. We really couldn’t fault the accommodation, the staff, and the food. It really was outstanding.
We feared for Jembisa as it was such a hard act to follow. However, we were in no way disappointed by the very comfortable accommodation, the wonderful food (they coped superbly with providing great barbecues). Although less fancy the food was every bit as good as at Morokuru. The staff too were excellent.
